Summary: Stormy Morning stirred up the Billfish

Full Report:

Stormy Morning turned into a Billfish Day!

The unstable weather this morning made for some interesting fishing today.

The Nearshore boats caught Spanish mackerel, bluefish and some triggerfish.  Offshore fishing boats had good success with the bill fishing.  A Salt Weapon’s anglers Joey Haskett of Guyton GA caught and released a Sailfish and Todd Hunter of Hertford NC caught and released a White Marlin. They also brought in a 50 pound Yellowfin tuna.  Obsession’s anglers Brian Ramsey caught and released a white marlin and John Burgess of Ashland Ohio caught and released two white marlin.  Hog Wild’s anglers caught a large Yellowfin, some gaffer dolphin and 5 bonita.   The Billfish are Out There and our boats are on the hunt!
