30th Anniversary Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament

The 30th Annual Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament, held August 12th-16th, 2013, is a world-class event and home to the State Record Blue Marlin caught on the 25th Anniversary of the tournament, weighing in at a whopping 1,228.5 pounds! For our 30th Anniversary we hope to hit the ONE MILLION DOLLAR mark to our charities! We hope you will join us on our 30th Annivesary as we continue our charitable work! 2012 Tournament Winners

Thank you to all the lovely ladies who fished the 23rd Annual Alice Kelly! 2 Blue Marlin, 2 White Marlin and 82 Sailfish were released. Our largest dolphin was 10.3 pounds caught by Doris Weatherly on the Double B. Our largest Tuna, weighing in at 54.4 pounds, was caught by Dana Burlage on the Seaclusion. Great Job Ladies! Congratulations to our Top Lady Angler, Kaitlyn O'Connor on the Hindsight with her first Blue Marlin release! Our Top Boat Award goes to the Ladies and Captain John Bayliss on the Tarheel with 630 points!

Now on to the big boys! For the second year in a row, Captain Jesse Granitzki takes first place with 1400 points on the BI-OP-SEA! Followed by Captain Ned Ashby on the SeaBreeze bringing home second with 1050 points and Captain Kenneth Brown on the Trophy Hunter with 980 points. We had TWO BLUE MARLIN weighed in this year! Captain Daniel Spencer on the Double B weighed in a 521.1 pound Blue Marlin taking first place in the Heaviest Blue Marlin Jackpot One and Two! The Reliance, Captain Jay Watson, boated a Blue Marlin weighing in at 417 pounds taking second place in the Heaviest Blue Marlin Jackpot One! Awesome Job Guys!

Spring Fishing

We're gearing up for another great year at Pirate's Cove.  Dolphin,   Tuna (Yellowfin and Blackfin!),  and  Wahoo  have been brought in already and we have heard reports of  Billfish  swimming around! They have become increasingly abundant as more and more migrate into the waters off Oregon Inlet with the weather warming up. Catch some of the action on our Gallery photo page or visit our Daily Fishing Report page to get the latest on what fish are biting!

1st Annual Outer Banks Boat Sale and Expo

The 1st Annual Outer Banks Boat Sale and Expo will be held Saturday, June 8th from 10am to 8pm and Sunday, June 9th from 10am to 5pm here at The Pavilion. Several boat dealers and other marine related businesses will be in attendance offering killer deals along with several community charities and nonprofit organizations. Food will be offered on Saturday to benefit the Bethany United Methodist Church of Wanchese Disaster Relief Program. We will post updates as we receive them.
