We had a handful of private boats out today. A few Bluefin were reported, and one Trophy Bluefin as well! There was one report of a wahoo caught as well. Bluefin are here, so come on down to Pirate's Cove Marina for a great trip on the water! Give us a call or even book online!

Yellowfin Offshore, Rockfish in Duck

We had one boat go offshore today with a small catch of yellowfin. We did have great news from the fisheries today, reporting an abundance of ocean Rockfish as far South as the Sanderling (Duck) NC. They were reported within 2 1/2 miles offshore, which is within the catchable 3 mile limit. This is great news for all of you North Carolina Anglers!

Yellowfin Tuna!

A gorgeous day on land & sea brought Yellowfin aboard both First Crack and Spray. First Crack had 9 and Spray had 1. A few private boats went a bit north today to Corolla Light and brought home their limit of Striper (ROCKFISH)!!!! YES! THEY ARE FINALLY HERE!

Obsession sent us a nice report from Mexico this morning, reporting a consistant catch of Sailfish. Yesterday was a successful 31 out of 50 "or so" bites on the crystal blue water. The weather sounds gorgeous in the islands, and if you haven't been to Mexico for the Sailfish Bite before - it's quite the experience. Tiki Huts, Umbrella Drinks, Sunshine & Sailfish -- we can't think of anything much better!

Rockfish, Bluefin Tuna, & Mexico

The Rockfish and Bluefin Tuna seem to be hanging around Virginia Beach right now, hopefully making their way South sooner than later. We've had a few great reports from the area.

The boys in Mexico are off to a great start! We spoke with Captain Allan on the Country Girl this morning, who was enjoying the hot sun and a tiki bar in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, with salty Carribean Ocean breezes, and great fishing. Country Girl had 31 Sailfish on their first day fishing, and so far a big ole' 46 lb Snowy Grouper.

Dennis on the A-Salt-Weapon has been doing great as well! He sent us photos this morning of his bottom fishing catch.

Jealousy is running through our veins here in North Carolina, but we're excited to start reporting incredible Rockfish & Bluefin catches shortly.

The Blackfin Tuna bite is still on, as well as a few reports of some Yellowfin hanging around, give us a call to set up your next fishing trip, or just book online!

A couple charters today....

In offshore fishing a few Blackfin Tuna and a few Mahi were caught. The Yellowfin Tuna were nowhere to be found today.

In nearshore fishing things were slow with only a few nibbles and no stripers to keep!

We do have a cool down coming this week so hopefully the Stripers and the big Bluefin Tuna will show up in force.

Meatfish Grand Slam!

Conditions were not the best today with scattered showers and a choppy sea, but the fishing was good.

Just one boat went out today and they returned to the docks with a nice catch of Yellowfin Tuna, a gaffer dolphin and 3 Wahoo. One of the Wahoo weighed in at 42 pounds earning a citation for Michael Scoby of Suffolk, Virginia.

Yellowfin Tuna!

Today was another gorgeous day for late November. A great catch for First Crack today with White Marlin (first billfish catch for angler Nicholas!), 21 Yellowfin Tuna -- over 600 pounds!!!! It is great to see the Yellowfin Tuna bite stick around for so long. The weekend looks beautiful as well and we have 4 going offshore tomorrow.
