21st Alice Kelly Tournament

True Grit girls win the Alice Kelly Tournament with 5 billfish releases. Skirt Chaser also had a great day with 5 billfish releases, including a Grand Slam! They came in second on time with a 5 minute difference! Caroline was third.

In the first year for the Dolphin jackpot Rigged Up took home the prize!

27th Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament

The 27th annual Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament, held August 9th-13th, 2010, is a world-class event and home to the State Record Blue Marlin caught on the 25th Anniversary of the tournament, weighing in at a whopping 1,228.5 pounds!

5th Annual Tuna Round-Up

The Tuna Round-Up is the kick-off event for the Pirate's Cove Big Game Tournament Series. The tournament is held annually the weekend after Memorial Day, with registration on Thursday and fishing on Friday and Saturday. The dates for the 2011 6th Annual Tuna Round-Up are June 2nd-4th.

 

Small Fry Tournament

07/01/11 - 07/02/11

The Small Fry Tournament is family fun time! Held annually around the 4th of July. Two categories of fishing for children 3-8 and 9-15. The entry fee is nominal and includes a t-shirt and lunch! Trophies are presented in each category for the largest fish caught. Target species are spot, bluefish, trout and flounder. The 2011 event is July 1st and 2nd.

 

7th Annual Carolina Boat Builders Tournament

The 7th annual Carolina Boat Builder's Tournament in being held Thursday July 15th - Sunday July 18th, 2010. The mission of the Dare County Boat Builders Foundation is to develop, encourage and promote public awareness of the historical and cultural heritage of boat building in Dare County and to support educational opportunities for students.
