What a great day on the water! Our inlet boat had nice trout fishing, the nearshore fleet had great bluefish, Spanish mackerel, and dolphin fishing. They even brought back a sailfish on a 3/4 day trip!! The offshore fleet had some catches of blackfin tuna, yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi, and wahoo along with billfish releases! The wreck fishing had excellent tilefish and seabass fishing.

The tournament is heating up even more, we had Double B bring in a 521lb blue marlin! The owner is Harry Smith, Captain is Daniel Spencer, Mate is Sam Clark and the angler who reeled in this bad boy was Bill Blount. Awesome job to their whole crew (Michelle Clark, Brad Buser, Rob Rollison, Hunter Blount, Sam Peters, James Jackson and Brenden Oxnard)! The rest of the boats had tons of billfish releases today as well as some nice meat catches to be weighed in. Keep up with more information about the tournament and how the boats are doing at www.pcbgt.com click on the "Join the conversation" under the twitter link to see live announcements on releases throughout the day and then click on the "Live Webcam" link to join in on the action when it’s time for weigh-in. Tomorrow is the last fishing day of the tournament! Good luck to everyone fishing the 29th Annual Pirate’s Cove Billfish Tournament! Tight lines and calm seas.
