Today’s catches at the dock were really spectacular.  The last few weeks the majority of the  catches were fishboxes filled to the rim with Yellowfin Tuna.  The massive schools of Tuna made catches the last few weeks very consistent for the Offshore fleet.  Now that the initial wave of Yellowfin have come through the catches have become more diverse.  At least a dozen Bigeye Tuna over 200 pounds were caught in the last week along with Billfish of every type.  Today most of the Offshore fleet continued to catch really good numbers of Yellowfin Tuna including several limits.  Any boat that didnt catch their limit of Tuna had the the box filled with really nice Dolphin.  Several Wahoo were caught along with some Sailfish and White Marlin releases today.  All the summertime species are starting to be caught Offshore consistentely allowing Captains to really take their pick on what to fill their boxes with each day.

The Nearshore fleet has had quite a week including today.  Spanish Mackerel are being caught in big numbers each day.  Last week a hard east wind blew for a couple of days pushing in warm offshore water.  Several of the Fullday Nearshore charters caught good amounts of Dolphin as a result.  The huge inital wave of Cobia that were here seemed to have moved on to their summertime spawning grounds.  However, Cobia are still being caught and large numbers of Cobia are still being reported to the south.

The Sound trips are still doing outstanding on Speckled Trout and are starting to catch good amounts of Flounder too.  We’ve got several Charters available and Make Ups for the coming weekend.  Call us at 1-800-367-4728.
