Today’s fleet had good days out on the water. The nearshore fleet had good catches of bluefish and spanish mackerel. Wreckfishing resulted in tilefish, seabass and dolphin (mahi).
The Offshore Fleet had successful catches of billfish. Three of the Pirate’s Cove Charter Fleet boats fished in the Boatbuilders Challenge Tournament today. Fishermen Peter Zeliff and Larry from Upstate NY fished aboard Obsession and released 5 Sailfish to put them in 4th place in the Tournament with one day to go. Hunter released 3 sailfish and First Crack’s party released 1 white Marlin and 2 Sailfish and caught a couple of nice gaffer dolphin.
