Today was another great start to the week!  There’s quite a bit to report today besides the World Class Tuna fishing that we’ve been having.  I would like to start by congratulating 12 year old Jack Allen on his first Blue Marlin estimated at 475 pounds!  It was also his first Offshore fishing trip.  We really enjoy seeing the thrill a first time angler gets when it’s time to fill out a Citation for a trophy catch.  Today, along with the outstanding Tuna catches, several Blue Marlin were caught and released.  There were two Blue Marlin over 400 pounds caught and released today.  All the Captains I spoke to were really excited to see so many Blue Marlin showing up.  The Yellowfin Tuna are still being caught in big numbers along with some really nice Dolphin.  We are really hoping to see some Big eye Tuna show up in the catches this week too.  Every boat in the fleet was fishing today and all caught limits or close to limits of Yellowfin Tuna.

Nearshore Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish are still being caught in good numbers.  I expected to see really good Cobia catches through the weekend with the weather being much nicer.  However, it remained really windy through the weekend.  There was Massive schools of menhaden and sardines in huge pods starting at the inlet heading south.  Some of them were nearly an acre in size.  Cobia were seen following and chasing bait and a few were landed.

It’s going to be another exciting week of fishing if you want to get on a charter or make up call us at1-800-367-4728 or visit us at staging.pcdev.flywheelsites.com
