The offshore boats were in pretty early today all with really good catches of Yellowfin Tuna and some Dolphin.  The majority of them had limits of Tuna and were all back at the Docks by 3 pm.  Several Citations were filled out today for Yellowfin Tuna.  After about two days of a little slower action, the last four days have really been incredible for Yellowfin in particular.  It seems like since the wind picked up, and added a little chop offshore, the fishing really turned on.  On top of that the water temps have really shot up in the last week.  It rained off and on today so there was a whole lot of wet hair and smiling faces in front of the booking desk today.  I saw four fish cleaning tickets with more than 400 pounds of tuna on them!

The inshore guys did well today catching good amounts of Spanish Mackerel.  Despite the overcast skies and it being a little choppy they were able to catch some Cobia today as well.  This weeks forecast is a little more windy than it has been but the offshore fishing in particular should be really good.  The Cobia have followed the warm water up the coast to just outside the inlet.  Hopefully these clouds move out so sightfishing for them becomes easier over the next few days.  They are definately out there in huge numbers.

Speckled Trout fishing in the sound continues to be really good.  One of our inshore guys caught a good amount of Puppy Drum this morning.  They were all throw backs but it is always good to hear that they are being caught along with the Trout catches.

Also a reminder that we offer Ethanol free Gas at the fuel dock that opens at 5:00 am for all those looking to protect the life of their outboards.  We’ve still got some boats and make ups available call us at 1-800-367-4728 or visit us at staging.pcdev.flywheelsites.com
