There are some really great reports coming today from the offshore fleet.   There truly is everything imaginable taking place on the offshore trips right now. It would appear that everyday the tuna bite inches a little closer to the outstanding benchmark set back in the spring.  The first boat in had 12 yellowfins and 8 blackfins.  Then ironically enough the next boat behind him had flip flopped those results with exactly 8 yellowfin and 12 blackfin.  The most I’ve seen so far on the tuna count is up to 15 on one of our charters.  Of course there’s the outstanding dolphin catches to go along with the tuna with several boats getting their limits of dolphin. Several billfish were caught and released today including at least 4 blue one’s and a couple of boats sporting 3 white marlin flags.  A handful of nice wahoo and piles of tilefish were covering the docks as well.

We have some really great anglers that, once they fish with us, become loyal customers every year and sometimes several times a year.  Being the booking agent here, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many great people from all over the world that come to fish with us.  I can’t help but smile when I see a couple from scotland that are returning from just being here a few months back.  I hear the words, "Hello Steve!"  in that really awesome accent and know we must have something really special going on here. We truly do have so many great friends coming over and over to fish with us.  When I was younger I can remember being way too far offshore in my little boat and seeing navy fighter jets flying just over head at break neck speed.  I would stare up at them, with my mouth hanging open, thinking to myself how lucky and cool those guys must be.  Then one day I noticed how they would often return flying at half the altitude right over me and the other boats.  I realized at that point that they were most likely staring down at us thinking the exact same thing.  We are certainly blessed to have the oppurtunities we have here.

One of our customers from the spring returned from his spring trip to fish with us yesterday.  He really wanted to make the most of his time with us and asked the captain to pull an all nighter.  They caught marlin and dolphin all day yesterday and spent last night catching a really nice swordfish around 110 pounds.  Then today they continued to fish until they came in catching more dolphin, two white marlin, and some tuna.  Congrats to Andy Bilmanis on his first sword fish catch and their exciting offshore trip.  Also congrats to Jeff Ramsey on his first Blue Marlin today estimated at just shy of 200 pounds!  There is just so much going on right now it’s hard to put it into just one report.  The fishing is fantastic right now and things couldn’t be much better for everyone.  If you want to get in on the action call us at 1-800-367-4728 or visit us at staging.pcdev.flywheelsites.com and we will take care of the rest!  Take care and have a great evening!
