Today was a great start to a beautiful holiday weekend.  What a better way to celebrate our Independence than the most American of traditions, Salt Water fishing.  The fleet was out in force today and had a mixed day of results.  Some Captains, that were fortunate enough to be in the right places, really did outstanding.  Other Offshore boats had decent mixed catches of Yellowfin Tuna and Dolphin.  The boats that did have nearly limits of Tuna were smaller than they have been with a few large Yellowfin Tuna mixed in.  The story of the day was massive Blue Marlin with three releases today.  Two of the Marlin were estiimated at over 400 pounds each.  Billfish have started to show up in good numbers with several private boats landing Sailfish and Marlin today.

The Nearshore fleet had nothing less than an outstanding day today.  Spanish Mackerel were caught in big numbers along with some really massive Cobia.  The Booking desk had a line in front of it today with smiling faces waiting to fill out Citation forms for Trophy size Cobia.  We’ve been waiting for King Mackerel to show up in the catches.  There had been large schools of Menhaden around the inlet for several weeks, leading everyone to believe the Kings wouldnt be far behind.  Today some Kings were finally caught along with some Amberjacks on the Full day near shore trips.

The forecast for the weekend couldn’t be better.  Tomorrow every single boat in the fleet is heading out Offshore and Nearshore.  We should have alot to report with so many boats in play.  Everyone here be safe and smart on the water especially tonight and have a Happy fourth!  We have some availability through the weekend call us at 1-800-367-4728 or visit us at staging.pcdev.flywheelsites.com to book your fishing trip today!
