Offshore the fishing is still fantastic with big numbers of white marlin caught again today.  On charter side and private flags are up and down the docks. The count on charter side was 45 billfish between just 5 boats. The biggest change in the last few days is a good increase in the amount of sailfish and Blue marlin being caught and released as well.  One boat did go after the tuna bite today and did well with 6 Blackfin and 5 yellowfin Tuna.  The Tuna can be a little tougher to locate at times  but when you find them the action is really fast and exciting with lots of multiple hookups. There are huge numbers of Tuna here already if you know were to find them and it’s lead to the perfect storm of offshore fishing choices.  Where the huge number of marlin are, every fish smaller than a small child is running for it’s life trying to make it through the billfish gaunlet.  When meatfish are caught there they tend to be well above average and a welcomed addition to the phenomenal marlin catches.  Right now the action couldn’t be more red hot with some of the world’s best fishing right off our coast.

The nearshore fleet had a great day with some really nice bluefish caught and limits of spanish mackerel.  They also saw quite a few cobia and a few were caught.  The forecast this week is ideal for them to continue having great catches this coming week with a gentle east wind and warm blue water right off the beach.

I sincerely hope everyone with the means to get here and fish does.  I went myself three times this week and caught everything from marlin to over 350 pounds of Tuna and Dolphin.  We are all calling of our friends telling them to high tail it down here and you should be doing the same!  It’s going to be a month to remember!  Call us at 1-800-367-4728 or visit us staging.pcdev.flywheelsites.com and we will do everything possible to give you the fishing trip of a lifetime. Take care and if your on the way this week drive safe!
