Today the Offshore boats did fairly well.  The majority caught Tuna including Yellowfin, Blackfin, and Bonita.  Quite a few Dolphin were caught too.  No limits to report today on any boats but the catches were a good Summertime mix and everyone caught good amounts of fish.  One Sailfish was caught and released today.  The crew on that boat got an outstanding picture of the Sailfish before they released it.  Im sure that picture will go in a good place to solidify that memory for years to come.  The Offshore Captains are really having to make an adjustment now that this new phase of summertime fishing has began.  Hopefully we will see quite a few Billfish, especially White Marlin, start to be caught in the coming weeks as a result.

The Nearshore fleet had slower than normal fishing today but did catch some Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.  One Captain had a group of children and stayed inside the inlet. That group caught some really nice Sea Mullet and Flounder.  They lost a really nice flounder (over 22") right at the boat.  Appartently the kids just giggled and watched it swim away.  We always enjoy having kids aboard and the Captains seem to really enjoy those trips.  Speckled Trout fishing was outstanding again this morning with several fish over 20" caught.  Most of the bigger Trout were caught on live bait.

We’ve had a pretty steady and hard SW wind start blowing here yesterday.  Through displacement Sea surface temps have dropped a bit which probably is playing a part in the Near shore fishing being a little slower than usual today.  The fishing should pick up tomorrow as fish begin to feed again and we look forward to the outstanding fishing we are accustomed to.  We have Charters available for this week including some Make ups!
