Today was a beautiful day at Pirates Cove Marina, but stormy weather is on the horizon for the next couple of days! With weather changes, the fishing usually changes and today was no exception. After good Yellowfin and Bigeye Tuna fishing yesterday, today was a little different.
Some of the offshore fleet came home with nice catches of Dolphin of all sizes. Some of the others had limits of Tilefish, while others came in with a mix of both. A citation size Wahoo, weighing in at 50 pounds was caught on the Haphazard by Gregory Nachman of Rockville, VA. And, finally one boat did get lucky and find the Yellowfin Tuna, they had a mix of Yellowfin, Dolphin and Tilefish.
Nearshore was a little slow with just a few dogfish caught.
