Wow.. What great timing for so many billfish to show up with our tournament starting next week.  Today we had 9 white marlin released, two Blue Marlin, and a Sailfish released.  The Tuna bite was really good today with some nice Yellowfin on the docks, some over 50 pounds.  There were some dolphin caught too but not in big numbers.  Most were fishing in the tuna and billfish areas today.

Today the water temps shot up almost ten degrees after the east wind blew all night.  The water was beautiful and the nearshore fleet did well today catching good numbers of spanish mackerel and blues.  Quite a few cobia and amberjack were caught on those trips too.  The cobia have been quite a bit smaller than they were just a few weeks ago on average. However, that’s very normal for this time of year.  We have alot of full day nearshore trips this week and they tend to catch a little of everything on those trips.  So, there should be quite a bit to talk about over the next few days in the reports for them.
