Today the offshore fleet headed out at first light in search of the bite in the hopes of getting good numbers before todays rain settled in.  The forecast called for rain to begin in ernest after the lunch hour.  However, the opposite was true and it rained heavily till just after lunch.  Then sunny skies prevailed and the wind shifted to a hard sw.  The catches were really good today with a meat grand slam reported by the first boat back that included Yellowfin Tuna, nice Wahoo including a 55 pound fish, and Dolphin.  No limits today on Dolphin but a few boats had more than 20.  Quite a few Billfish were spotted today and a few hooked but only one Blue was brought to boatside and released.  Areas offshore that have drawn large numbers of fish are forcing many captains to run quite a bit further than normal to get into good numbers of fish.  With the heavy rain and long haul everyone earned their great catches today.

All the Nearshore trips were moved to tomorrow and into the weekend based on the conditions this morning.  It looks like its shaping up to be a beautiful weekend!  I’ve attached some great photos in the report including a White Marlin caught on a trip on the Obsession and a great catch of Sheepshead from earlier this week.
