Today was wet and a little windy.  The fishing offshore was really good though.  The captains got on a good Yellowfin Tuna bite fairly quickly and some caught limits of Dolphin too.  The class of Tuna was really impressive today with more than half the fish over 50 pounds with one Yellowfin weighing in at a whopping 109 pounds!  Some Wahoo were also caught but no Billfish to report.  The word of the day would most definately be big with some of the dolphin over the 40 pound mark as well.  We had one boat mix it up with their anglers and get in on the Tuna bite then wreckfish.  They limited out on Tiles and Seabass to go with the nice Yellowfin Tuna they had.  There’s so much attention given to the Palegics it’s easy to forget how outstanding the wreckfishing can be here.

Things were average for the Nearshore fleet today with some Spanish Mackerel caught.  Fish were a little harder to locate today with it being windy and rainy.  Huge pods of baitfish were spotted up and down the coast which is a good sign for this week.  The weather should improve gradually everyday this week leading to a beautiful rest of the week.
