Another banner day by the Offshore guys.  Things were extremely hectic around the marina today with so many fish being brought in and get cleaned at the fish house.  One of our fish cleaners has been doing it for over 17 years and it’s quite a sight to see him fly through a pile of fish.  We missed out on a few great pictures today with dockhands so busy fueling boats.  However, the story of the day was nice Yellowfin Tuna, some limits of Dolphin, and one Blue Marlin release.  The weather was really good today and the fleet the was able to really spread out to locate fish. Depending on where they fished played a big part in what species were brought in.  Some boats had good amounts of large Yellowfin (some 50+ lbs) and others were loaded with Dolphin.

The Nearshore fleet did really well catching Spanish Mackerel this morning in particular.  Things slowed down a little late in the afternoon but good amounts of fish were caught.  Some Cobia were spotted but none were hooked. Tomorrow the wind is shifting to a light east wind and things should really heat up nearshore.

I feel like a broken record on this one, but once again limits of Speckled Trout were caught on the T-time again this morning.  Quite a few Puppy Drum and good sized Flounder are showing up in the sound catches.  We should have an outstanding August to look forward to.
