What a week it has been! Everyday we’ve seen huge catches of Yellowfin Tuna coming to the docks and the phone has been ringing off the the hook.  Today’s forecast was not a very good one.  There wasn’t a shortage of eager anglers ready to fish Offshore today though.  Despite North winds up to 20 kts and seven foot seas we had 7 boats head out today.  You wouldn’t expect great catches in conditions like that normally.  But today the captains put them right back on the fish again and were back at the docks pretty early.  Most of the boats had almost limits of Yellowfin but under the circumstances the catches were really good.  We filed a few citations for Yellowfin Tuna again today the largest was over 80 pounds!  Everyone really earned their catches today and really had rollercoaster ride back to the docks.  Im sure the anglers on board were very greatful for the Captains and their Mate’s hard work and dedication today.  Some Dolphin were also caught mixed in with the Tuna catches.  There was also a really nice Wahoo caught.

The Nearshore fleet headed out today also and did well but were not able to target Cobia. Things are supposed to really calm down this evening and things should really be exciting through the weekend.

The Captains out of Pirates cove are really doing well down south in the Big Rock tournament.  Congratulations to all them and its really good to see them on the leader boards again.  Don’t forget Father’s Day is coming up and come in to the Ship’s Store to get Dad great Father’s Day present.  There is a big sale all weekend here.
