The stripers continue to bite and some boats are going out to fish for the bluefin tuna.  Yesterday (Thursday) was one of our first "warmer" days with temps in the mid 60s.  The fishing party aboard Fistful had a good day striper fishing and came in with their limit.  They reported it was a gorgeous day out on the water with the wind picking up in the afternoon.  Several private boats enjoyed the day on the water as well.  There have been some bluefin tuna sited and we are all anxious for today’s wind to die down so the boats can get back out.  Hunter Winchester of Greenville NC was awarded a citation for his 46.5 pound Striper, Congratulations.  Warmer temperatures today with blue skies, but a strong southwest wind. We have a boat looking for two more anglers for Sunday for a rockfishing trip.  Give us a call if you have two people who want to join this fishing party or call to book your own boat!  You can reach us at 800-367-4728. Come by and fuel up at the fuel dock and visit us in the Ship’s Store!

Captain Jeff aboard the Obsession sent us a fishing report from yesterdays trip from Isla Mujeres.. Enjoy!  Boats are still in Mexico if you have an interest on a great sailfish adventure, we can get you more information on that.

SHORT RUN AND SUPER FISHING!

Peter Zeliff, Larry Waite and crew, from upstate NY, have fished with me down here for several years, but never saw fishing like we had today…..good trolling action in between mega places of birds with loads of sailfish around them….we fished one bunch for over an hour and caught 3 triple headers around them, caught 4 triples in the course of the day, and ended up the day releasing 45 sailfish out of at least 72 bites.
