Tuna beware—10 offshore boats left the docks this morning followed by 4 nearshore vessels.  Winds were out of the northeast blowing 10 to 15 knots with seas consistent around 3 ft.  The yellowfin numbers were not as large scale as yesterdays, but our captains still managed to show their stuff.  Each boat came in with “almost” limit numbers of yellowfin and even a solid catch of nice-sized gaffer dolphin. Though the tuna numbers were smaller than yesterday, the size of the group of fish caught was quite impressive. The nearshore group reported catches of large cobia, bluefish and, once more, exceptional Spanish mackerel fishing.

Good luck to all of our boats participating in the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament down in Morehead City this upcoming week!  If you are interested in going fishing, but don’t want to front the bill alone, then our make-up charters are for you!  Go to staging.pcdev.flywheelsites.com/makeup_charters and fill out the make-up form in order to be eligible for us to match you with another fishing party.  The sooner you fill out the form, the sooner we can put a trip together for you!  We have a few offshore trips that are looking for up to 2 or 3 more individuals around mid-June.  Fill out the make-up form and then contact us to get yourself out on the water as soon as possible!
